About
Baannok Kao Krung, a concept rooted in 70-year-old family recipes from Nakhon Ratchasima. Meaning “country to city,” the restaurant brings Isaan home cooking to Bangkok, preserving its honest, comforting flavours. Its authenticity has earned it a place in the Michelin Guide Thailand for three consecutive years. Now joined by Baannok Kao Krung: City Edition, the concept takes on a more urban identity. The menu reimagines Isaan favourites with a modern twist, while introducing subtle cross-cultural influences.
Open from late morning to midnight, City Edition is in sync with the city’s pulse. But at its heart, it still feels like home—where signature dishes such as the Pad Mee Korat, the Baannok appetiser platter, and Kai Palo Yai Samriang, along with nostalgic desserts like caramelised banana and Thai tea jelly with coconut cream carry the warmth of authentic home-cooking that is meant to be shared. Together, both concepts reflect Nara Group’s vision of bringing regional Thai flavours into a contemporary city setting—without losing their soul.
